Silicon Genie (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Tenths mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Tenths is designed to respect your privacy. Most of the data you create is stored locally on your device. To provide our core features, we request specific device permissions:

• Phone State & Call Logs (READ_PHONE_STATE, READ_CALL_LOG): We require these permissions to detect when a phone call ends so we can prompt you to record the time and automatically identify the caller. We do not record your phone conversations. Call log data is processed locally on your device to match phone numbers with your existing clients and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): We request access to your contacts to allow you to easily import client names into the App and to match incoming/outgoing phone numbers to your saved contacts for the auto-detect feature. Your contact list is processed locally and is never uploaded to or sold to third parties.
• Time & Billing Data: The records you create (client names, hourly rates, duration, earned amounts) are stored locally in the App’s database. If you subscribe to Tenths PRO and utilize the Private Cloud Backup feature, this data is securely synced to your private cloud account to prevent data loss.

2. Professional Privilege and Client Confidentiality

We understand that as a professional, you may use Tenths to process highly sensitive or privileged client information.

• Local Storage by Default: By default, all client names, project details, and billing records are stored locally on your device. You retain full control over this data.
• Cloud Backup Compliance: If you choose to upgrade to Tenths PRO and utilize the Private Cloud Backup feature, it is your sole responsibility to ensure that syncing this data to your chosen third-party cloud provider complies with your industry’s specific confidentiality obligations (e.g., Attorney-Client Privilege, HIPAA, or equivalent professional regulations). We do not have access to your locally stored data or your private cloud backups, and we cannot guarantee that your chosen cloud provider meets your specific regulatory requirements.

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for essential App functions:

• Google Play Billing: If you upgrade to Tenths PRO, your payment is processed securely by Google Play. We do not collect or store your credit card information.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical security measures to protect your personal information. Users on the PRO plan can also enable App Security (e.g., Biometric/Passcode Lock) to secure the App locally. However, please be aware that no transmission of data over the internet or mobile device is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you keep the App installed. You can delete individual records, clients, or rates at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data.

Terms of Use

By downloading or using Tenths (the “App”), these terms will automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Description of Service

Tenths is a productivity tool designed to help professionals track billable time in tenths of an hour, manage client rates, and export billing records.

2. Professional Use and Compliance Disclaimer

• No Professional Advice: Tenths is a time-tracking and productivity tool. We do not provide legal, accounting, financial, or other professional advice. The use of this App does not create an attorney-client or any other professional-client relationship between you and us.
• Billing Accuracy and Ethics: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and ethical compliance of the invoices and time records you generate using Tenths. We assume no responsibility for your compliance with the rules of professional conduct, bar association guidelines, or any regulatory requirements applicable to your specific profession.
• Client Disputes: We are not a party to any agreement between you and your clients. We expressly disclaim any liability for billing disputes, unpaid invoices, or professional malpractice claims arising from your use of the App to track or bill your time.

3. Subscriptions and Tenths PRO

The basic version of Tenths is provided for free with limitations.

• Tenths PRO: We offer an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited clients, records, rates, custom CSV exports, private cloud backup, and biometric lock.
• Billing: Payment will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscription anytime by going to your account settings on the Google Play Store.

4. Intellectual Property

The App itself, including all trademarks, copyright, database rights, code, and design, belongs to AIGenieDev. You may not copy, modify, or extract the source code of the App.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. While we strive to ensure the App is highly reliable (including background call tracking), we cannot guarantee that the App will be free from errors, bugs, or interruptions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIGenieDev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost profits, or lost data resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.
